The purpose of this meeting was to invite potential stakeholders to help us shape the story of a future Baltimore that is a global hub for industrialized offsite construction at every level: research, policy, financing, design, manufacturing, supply chain management, workforce development, logistics and on-site construction. We hope that this story has a happy ending in which Maryland has the skills, labor, and manufacturing capacity to address our affordable housing crisis state-wide; sustainably mass-retrofit Baltimore’s vacants and infill the vacant lots; and provide 21st century jobs to our communities.
