We're delighted to share that the IRS has recognized Baltimore Modular, Inc. (BMOD) as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The determination, dated October 9, 2026, is effective August 25, 2026, the day BMOD was incorporated.
What this means for you
If you give to BMOD, your gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, including gifts made since August 25.
If your foundation, agency or program funds only 501(c)(3) organizations, BMOD is now eligible, and we would welcome a conversation about where our work and your goals meet.
If you would like to support our work, our Donate page explains how to give by Zelle or check, and how we send your receipt.
Thank you
We owe special thanks to Kristopher C. Madore, Esq., of Maryland Nonprofits. He guided us through every step, from our bylaws and policies to the application itself, with patience and care. He filed our application on September 30, and the IRS approved it nine days later. If you are starting or strengthening a nonprofit in Maryland, we warmly recommend Maryland Nonprofits.
Thank you, too, to everyone who has encouraged, advised and worked alongside BMOD as we have grown from an idea into an organization.
What should we know about?
Is there a funding opportunity, partnership or project you think BMOD should hear about? We would love to hear from you on our Connect page.
